Ark Angel could have been champions

Ark Angel, an all Filipino team could have won the Mobile Legends Bang Bang: South East Asia Cup 2019 (MSC2019). The said event was held at the Araneta Coliseum, Manila last June 19 to 23 where two all Filipino teams aimed for the championship.

Ark Angel consists of 5 members namely Jay, Jeffqt4ever, Ryo, Killuash, and Lusty. The team started the playoffs at the upper bracket on day 2 against Louvre Esports, an Indonesian team, where Louvre had dominated the game and Ark Angel lost. It pushed them down to lower brackets.

To show their eagerness to stay on the tournament, Ark Angel displayed their prowess in the game. They managed to win their next two games. The first game against EVOS Esports, a Singaporean team, and then against Overclockers. Meanwhile, Louvre has faced ONIC Esports, another Indonesian team, on the upper bracket. They have shown a different level of Indonesian gameplay but Louvre Esports ended up losing to ONIC making Ark Angel and Louvre Esports face each other once again in the finals of the lower bracket.

I cannot say that Ark Angel was able to do their best because, during Ark Angel’s match against Louvre, technical issues were experienced several times where the game has to be paused. These pauses caused momentum to crumble down for Ark Angel ultimately leading to a defeat.

The team took home the 3rd place for the MSC 2019 with a total of $15,133 USD (About 786,916 pesos).
